TLC's single "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg" is from their debut album Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip which was released on November 22, 1991. The song peaked at the Billboard Hot 100 at number six and the Hot R&B Singles at number two.
Both Dallas Austin and Lisa 'Left' Eye Lopes received a Grammy nomination as songwriters in 1993 for Best R&B Song.
At the end of 1992, the song topped the charts ranking at number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100.
